Responsibilities
Premier real estate development company is seeking an experienced purchasing agent for its Central Ohio projects. Applicants need to have at least two years’ experience in purchasing activities for building single-family or multi-family production homes. Ideal candidate will be highly organized, have excellent communication skills and possess a detailed knowledge of construction, trade management, and contracting. Basic computed skills are needed such as Microsoft Word, Excel and any experience with take-off or construction management software. As a member of the team, you will have an opportunity to play a critical role in construction activities for large-scale apartment and condominium developments. This is a demanding & exciting position for those who enjoy multi-tasking in a fast-paced team environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Main point of contact for bidding and contracting all trades

Negotiate best possible pricing while maintaining quality of product and speed of production.

Coordinate plan review process with production team, trade partners and design professionals

Maintain trade scopes of work to ensure they match the project plans & requirements

Maintain bid comparison, project budget and quantity take-off Excel spreadsheets to ensure proper costing & contracting information

Oversee purchasing functions in construction management software

Coordinate between Superintendents, trade partners and design team to ensure projects are being built accurately and efficiently

Build price comparing spreadsheets in Excel
